Lets try again one of my top 10 favorites

Whew, made it. Well had to play hookie from work today. Here is a shot from Greenland. Not the best light today or the best consist but since I have not fired off a shot in more than a few weeks here it is for your enjoyment a full load of UFIX coal heading south with a good'ole SD70MAC 8954 on point. I always seem to get birds in these shots also.

    Sperry Rail testing CP Wilmore

Sperry Rail Truck #904 had some track time to do some testing at CP Wilmore as he comes by the old feed mill. Wilmore is my favorite spot to railfan and is only 5 miles from the apartment.

I wish I could be watching trains from any of these places shown so far. Unfortunatly I have been too busy with family matters for the last few days to get out and photograph my usual haunts. I am in Carrollton, Texas right now away from my computer and means to upload any images. Good luck on your enteries everyone.

Sometimes "no trains" makes for a better shot. Cool photo.

Tim, you need to clear out all the vegatation, if I lived that close to the tracks I would love it. or at least clear a section where you can get good pics

I wish I could clear out the vegetation between my motel room and the CSX min in Cordele, but I didn't bring a chainsaw with me ( about 30 yards'thick of trees). Plus, someone would be kinda upset.

    Get your votes in

Vegetation huh my daughter just moved into a apartment with a big front window and the IC&E main a block away. The first train I heard I ran to the window to look and some one built a building right there is the way. :lightbulb:I said "could we get some one to move that building". She said "dad that is the fire department."

Great Story Mr. T!!! I have a similiar problem at my house. I COULD be eating dinner and watch trains on the CN, but when spring comes all the leaves block my view. I could go chop down all the small trees but it's on the other side of my fence. I'm not sure who owns the "land of trees."
