I was just going to post about the holiday train; well the late rising bird doesn't get the worm. I've had the good fortune to attend this event in Vancouver (or other communities in the Greater Vancouver area) every year it has run. I'm looking forward to this year as well. Dane (former moderator here; BC Railking) and I enjoy the event though we don't stick around for long. The highlight for us is watching it pull in, usually there is a party on the night it arrives which we move on to. I can't recommend this train enough.

Great shots. Every year since 1981 we have hosted a Xmas party on "Carol Ships night,: with boats done up in lights - like the Holiday Train. Unfortunately this year it was on the 17th, so Dane and I missed our first Holiday Train arrival in Greater Vancouver.
I live in Saint Paul and missed the train.....I was attending one of my Daughters first band concert (she is in 6th grade). So it was worth missing
