Lenny, thanks for the update. I think it's GREAT that CP is doing this. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all who are not PC.
Here is this years train in Otego, New York on December 01, 2005 by Ryan Parent CP 9714 leads the 2005 CP Holiday train through Otego, NY at dusk enroute to Oneonta, NY for its first stop.

The Holiday Train is in Bowmanville tonight at 9:00 P.M. and Toronto on Sunday Evening. Would anyone know when it leaves Bowmanville. The CP Tracks are about a Km behind my house in Pickering would be nice to get out and take a few Pic's. Would it be tonight or sometime on Sunday when it leaves Bowmanville?
The scheduled stop in Beaconsfield last night was 1hr (19:15 to 20:15) and when it left it really highballed.
I'd say it plans to stop there, from the link to the schedule; "*Bowmanville – 9 p.m., (Additional U.S. Train stop), parking lot, immediately west of Scugog St." Better hurry if you are going.........
Lenny Sorry what I meant was do you think it will stay over in Bowmanville tonight or move on into Toronto on Sunday. I am thinking of heading up the road tonight just noth of the house and lay in wait at one of the crossings around 10:30 P.M.
Again, that trainset is to be in the GTA Sunday; " Toronto – 5 p.m., (Additional U.S. Train stop), Yonge St. Bridge " I do not know where CP plans to overnight the trainset, my wild arse guess might be in Agincourt yard.
Just got back, Holiday train arrived in Pickering at 10:20 P.M. Took the family up in the car. That is some spectacular train. It also has more cars than I anticipated. Looked like someone was having a party in the last car. I took some pictures, it was moving so fast at the crossing, I guess the crew wanted to call it a night. Not sure if they turned out, the camera locked up, while I was shooting. As soon as I sort it out I will post what I have. What I have for pictures is nothing, they can be seen on my railimages account, really bad. The camera looks like it's off to Nikon for repair. You might want to test the camera again in a better lighting situation as it is possible that either the existing lighting last night gave an exposure error or the moving train gave an autofocus error.
Pictures of the CP Holiday train at the Trenton Military base. MP's were very co operative. Thanks to Dave Moes for the pictures. Ennis sisters performing. You can see #138 waiting in the backgroud.
I hope that good numbers of the public are turning out to see this? If not, they are missing something neat...... Boxcab E50

Any More reports. It was in Windsor tonight, should have crossed in to the USA by now. It is quite a sight to see at night.
Alan Quite right, not only how great it is to see, but also the Christmas related charities it supports in each town that the train stops in. I have checked the local news media in Canada and I am suprised at the lack of publicity that the train is getting, at least in the Toronto area. I never heard about the Holiday train until this year.
