When I was selling on that site, I'd thoroughly review my new listing, before clicking to submit the ad. If it didn't sell, I'd look again, and perhaps change something to (hopefully) make it more attractive. "...made with chips for light to come threw" It is just wonderful to know our public fool system is doing such a good job these days. Earning every penny extracted by force from the rest of us. NOT!
Must not know that Bluford is making a second run of these, or he's looking for a fool? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluford-Sho...964287?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item418195fb3f
This kind of thing is humorous, but it doesn't make me mad. I don't think people are trying to rip people off deliberately... I think they just figure... 'Hey, what the heck'. I noticed the other day, somebody posted playoff tickets on a broker site, for over a million dollars each. They weren't even very good seats. I think people look at it like gambling... Maybe some rich oil sheikh will come along and buy them, because they just don't care.
Just saw this one. It may have already been posted here but I got a belly snort out of it anyway. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BACHMANN-N-...206788?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3f36da2984 Feel bad for myself that I repainted mine. Brian
Now thast just gotta be the funniest one posted in a llllooooooonngggggggggg time.... R O F L M A O !!! * Hey...just noticed it has "Free Shipping"...maybe now its worth what he wants ! :cute:
For that price the uninformed will be getting a loco that most likely has split gears and has just enough friction to run for a bit or the first time one gives it a lube. A nice heavy piece of metal that sits and hums or puts a nice drag on the consist it is lashed up with. Classic case of a dummy buying a dummy since the going price for one of the new ones without the gear issue is about $60 excluding any shipping costs.
I had to check because the seller only had 97 feedbacks. Looks like a case of someone who usually sells a lot of clothes trying to sell something they know absolutely nothing about.
Seller was continuously listing this one as "new", "brand new, never opened...". After pointing out to him that it was obviously used, seller now describes it as, "Used only in sense of horns missing." and "It is new in the sense of never been operated". http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=151315048219
What the heck is this all about plus all the others he has up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Piko-G-LGB-...026467?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3ce2517323 Mike
