"Stacked Amtrak Seven" Trying to get out early on a Saturday to shoot Amtrak train 7 as it entered Minot westbound, I wasn't paying enough attention to the time. The Amtrak app would have told me the train was about 45 mins early for its nearly 0830 arrival. I hurriedly set up the camera and tripod, but couldn't dial in the proper settings for a full streak shot. I took a group of 4 sec exposures instead and stacked them in LightRoom for this effect. Just don't take it too seriously, it was a bit of a hasty grab shot.
What is "DWC" on that CN box car? I recall their subsidiary, DWP- Duluth, Winnipeg & Pacific. Is this a later version of that company?
I didn't know either, so did some hunting around and your suspicion is correct. DWP and DWC are both used by CN for DW&P. Probably evidence of a nefarious tax avoidance scheme ....
