A shot I have wanted to try for a few years, Amtrak eastbound into its station stop from the city Library lawn. Amtrak heritage unit 130 was on train 8 last night, so I went for it.
"Amtrak Eastbound Soo Tower"
Eastbound Amtrak train number 8, the Empire Builder, glides past Soo Tower and a waiting grain train to a stop for an on-time arrival in Minot.
And the heritage unit:
Oh, the humanity! Eagle Lake, Texas. 11-6-19. My people filter broke on this one.
Rare catch. Don’t see too many of these out and about. This was on the BNSF “Rock” Job on the CP Davenport Sub.

Passing the old Imperial Sugar refinery water tower in Sugar Land.

SP Tehachapi, long ago
Herzog ex-Milwaukee Road ballast car for the win!!
I love seeing Deuces. That SD50/60 earlier was a good catch too. Both are getting rarer.
Early the morning of the 4th, some lost CP units outside the service track.
"Getting Underway at Soo Tower"
Westbound grain loads accelerate from the Soo Tower signal past the Amtrak Empire Builder to attack the icy .66% grade to the west.
