Track level view of the JJJ&E Switching Yard
Presently I'm wiring this part of the layout along with painting the rails of the Unitrack, first with Neolube # 2 and then with Polly Scale Grimy Black and then with Red Oxide. I'll be using NCE "Switch-Kat" stationary decoders to control the unitrack turnout as I can incorporate a dwarf signal to monitor each turnouts position. I'll be using NJ International dwarf signals in the Switching Yard. To the right of the last back drop building we are approaching the corner of the layout and I'm going to put in a large hilly area. The two back drop buildings that are in the photo will also be changed and then will be placed on the opposite side of the layout in the town of San Marino. When you're working on a layout scenery and positions of buildings can be easily changed. The Unitrack will be ballasted with Arizona Rock & Mineral ballast.
