ATSF/BNSF C44-9Ws Athearn on Kato chassis

I've been making slow but steady progress on these two Dash 9s. The shells are Athearn and the chassis are Kato. This is a major project for me because of the level of details that are going into both the shells and the chassis. The unnumbered unit has the ditch lights mounted on the top of the sill and bottom mounted (DW #261) air tanks similar to the AC4400CWs. This is how the later models of the Dash 9s delivered to BNSF were configured. The Santa Fe decals on the long hood will be erased and replaced with BNSF. It will be numbered 714. The other unit lo (ditch lights) will be numbered 617.
