To Heck with waiting on Atlas C55 I'm gettin this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-44887-NS-30-Straight-EZ-Track-15-/390955074832 ... Yeah Right.
IF my early morning math is any good, price does not seem too bad. That's 15 sections for $162. Comes out at less than $11 a section. Again, IF my early morning math is any good! And I dislike early mornings!! :teeth:
List for 25 pieces from B-Mann is $365.00!! Wow,anybody look at their website? List price on their turnouts is 44 bucks?
Maybe they just want to be able to offer them for 80% off so people can feel like they are getting a good deal!
I looked at their shipping to Canada. Insane. Then I looked at their feedback. I especially look at negative feedback and watch for lack of communications. It seems when things go well the customer is happy, but if there is a problem they don't communicate with the customer. That, to me, is a reason to NEVER buy from them. They look like slicksters. There are plenty of reputable on line sellers out there.
Something to roll the eyes at: I bought one of these little trolleys for fun a few years ago. Back then, $75.00 was the cheapest price on Ebay... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kato-14-070...008555?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item541285c16b Now they are selling for $23.00 .
Or, there is this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NSC-SPECIAl...701861?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item27ef4fb125 Are we bidding on the NSC SPECIAl RUN cars, or on the long haired chihuahua?
This is truly funny!! I'm guessing the seller doesn't know trains. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KATO-N-SCAL...117860?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3a9a32b624 Wolf
If you read the description, The auction is to help pay the Dog's vet bill..I find it poignant, Not funny.
Well, for me it is both. I've spent well over $2000 for vet bill (back in 2005) on a smooth coat Chihuahua. He's laying on the floor next to me, and there's a long coat ("red") female in my lap right now, and she likes to lay in that same kind of sad/mope type position, when she feels ignored. We've owned Chihuahuas for over forty years. We've laughed and cried.
Kind of like the thought that someone would be shoveling coal from the B unit into the A unit to keep the train moving (even though SP steam was almost all oil fired by this time).
