Half the stuff this guy is selling is F7 shells. Wonder where he got them all? Looks like the same two bidders on both C&O shells, must be something special....

This seller has always sold tons of Intermountain stuff for the last several years!
Cars, Locos, Shells, CMW vehicles as well.
    Always tons of the stuff.
I've picked up several IMRC cars for less than 10.00, several various tunnel motors for less than 40.00 and even a couple of RI F7a&b's for a great price. It's always been new.

Always have wondered if they buy old stock from IMRC or from dealers who have an overstock.

Great seller to deal with as well.

    Allen...

WOW. Seems to me the price is about $99,900.00 too high.

I think his theory must be that if he prices it even higher, some sucker will be more likely to think it's really valuable.

You can buy a 1:1 passenger car and do a lot of refurbishing for that price.

Man, I'm laughing so hard it hurts.

OK, so from the $100,000 12" long ATSF decoration thingie. This ought to be in the Ebay hall of fame....

"If you believe or can document that this is not a unique wall hanging from the Super Chief, please freely provide us your information on identical or very similar train wall hangings. We are not sure what this valuable railroadiana collectible is really worth; if you believe and can freely document that our price is too high, we will seriously consider lowering price."

    Well, that sounds fair.

If I have $100K to spend on Super Chief stuff, I think I want this instead:
    http://www.trains-trams-trolleys.com/home/6018.htm

At least with that, I'm sure of the heritage.

That looks like some of the former equipment from a dinner train in western Washington. Given the listed location, it is most likely what the Temple family operated and should be in rather decent condition.

Yes, absolutely right. And we've been out and inspected the equipment. Like all PS stuff, once the rubber window seals go and the water gets to that carbon steel frame under the stainless steel sheathing, not good. A Budd with a stainless frame can take it, P-S can't. But she sure looks purty from the 3' rule; or is that 3' x 160 = 480'?

Remember the high selling price recently for the CMW postal vans? I just scored a pair on the bay for $26. Kinda high for two cars, but I guess it could be considered a good price in light of?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/320935471506?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Edit: Actually, I just noticed in a search of the completed listings that the prices of some singles are in line with what I pair per van. I guess the guy that bought the ones a while back is probably regretting it now (probably was then too).

Wow, it has been a while since any of us posted here. Well I have one for you but this time it is from the sellers end, me. Most of you know that at one time, I had a high rail O layout called Westville. Unfortunately, that rather nice layout niether went to my ex-wife or myself, it got split between the two of us and taken down. (BTW, this was not a fault of either myself or ex-wife, but a stupid real estate agent). For years the Super Snap Track that I purchased while doing some work for K-Line, sat unused in storage. Since the N scale layout keeps me busy and the storage is used for planes, I figured to sell it. Keep in mind that the track, in this case 4 40" and two 20" sections were used. They were not New or in any way billed as perfect. Rather than throw them out I figured I would list them on e-Bay with no reserve, as-is. I think the starting bid on the 4 pieces was $5.00 and 2.00 on the 20". They end up selling for $10.00 and $3.26 respectively. After eating the shipping due to a bad scale, I sent the track out last Saturday.

Today I check my e-Bay and see that he left neutral feedback with the following in caps.

THIS IS NOT SNAP TRACK BUT I CAN STILL USE

Seriously? You just scored six pieces of K-Line Super Snap Track that cost me at least $50.00 for $14.00 and you say It was NOT Snap Track? You could not e-mail me with your problem before leaving feedback? So I sent the following:

It will be interesting to see what if any kind of response I get. I'll give him 24 hours, if he doesn't attempt to fix his comments, then I'll work through e-Bay. In all honesty, it would have been better for me to throw this stuff into the dumpster...

Sorry for the rant, but tell me if I'm over reacting here.

    Jim,
Some people you just have to wonder about!

I had a similar thing happen several months ago. I sold a a KATO GP38 that was used, stripped and ready for painting.
    Everything was pictured and documented.

I never got a feedback from this clown. Then I get an email just shy of three months later claiming "Item Not A described"

He claims that he started painting this shell and noticed that it had a crack in it. When I asked him to describe the problem, he demanded that I send him a new undec shell because he had spent all of his time painting it only to find this "So called" Crack.

I told him that I couldn't send him a new shell as they were kind of hard to get anymore, but told him that I Could try to fix it or that I had another shell with Factory paint that would need to be stripped or I would refund his money in full even though he had it painted already.

He came back with a note "Not good enough"! and gave me my first negative!

Good luck dealing with eBay as I tried to have that negative removed and have never heard a response back from them. Now I have to wait for 6 months for the one negative to go away!

I have been selling some of my photos that are printed in 8X10s to offset wedding/honeymoon expenses and to just make a little extra pocket cash. The photos cost me $1.99 to print and I charge start bidding off at $3.99. So if someone bids I make a little on my images. I charge $4 shipping. I had this one guy buy 1 photo and I shipped it out to him.

He sent me a message saying item was recieved damaged. I sent him a reply back that I would be more than happy to either send him another print or send him the digital image and he could get the image printed himself. His reply was "You made $4 on shipping and the USPS damged the item." I explained to him that the cost of the hard envelope to ship photos in cost me $1.65 the postage is $1.40 and Ebay fees are $0.40 so I really only make about $0.50 on the shipping NOT $4!

He sent me a message back that said "The package damaged and you made $4 for a product I cant use" He gave me my first negative feedback. Just like you Bendtracker, I tried to make it right with the guy. But that was not good enough for him.

The bad part about this is that some Ebay sellers wont even sell to someone that has ANY negative feedback.

I have my favorite all time locos I search for on ebay, of which one prime example is the ConCor Kato Hudson. Over the past few months there is this seller (unnamed- you look him up yourself) who has to be the most stubborn individual around. He has listed the same Sekisui Hudson "vintage" Hudson for $225 at least three times which generates a chuckle each time. IMHO, these are good runners if you score one that runs, but I have had nothing but bad experiences with them over a number of issues. Even ConCor did and had an exchange program in the early eighties with the newer Kato mechanism. I routinely buy the Kato Hudsons for about $70-80 now without incidents. What a joke. Not as radical as your examples but one that keeps on keeping on.

    When will this jamoke learn?
