The D&RGW 5351 appears to me, to be eastbound, just short of Soldier Summit.

My oh my, how things have changed at Winter Park. Those GP30's and GP35, classic Rio Grande power. Look at all those vehicles at the park!!

I just looked that up and found a photo of the end of the line in a blog. The tracks even go a bit over the edge in empty space...

Just hope that track bumper holds up... or you'll be taking the express line down!

The day my son and I rode, it was mostly white out blizzard conditions. It cleared enough to photograph the train but was too cold and windy to check out the end of track.

Nice view while having a meal!:)

But I wouldn't mind going train-chasing with the deep red hardtop with the small fins in the second photo.

A surprisingly well preserved '61 Pontiac for snow country. Somebody kept it well polished for its first dozen years.

If I'm seeing the side chrome spear right, a Ventura. But with no more than that showing, the only thing I can guarantee is it isn't a Star Chief or a Tempest.

I wonder how many people road the train just for the ride, and not skiing? I for one would've!

CZ westbound on the approach to Allen siding. If both the east and west CZ's are on time, they meet at or close to Allen.
