Moose feel like Walt Disney as the Mooseland (TM) construction crew builds some background hills north of Oban Yard. The plaster and sealer are kinda workin' against Moose as they warped a wee bit as they dried. Oh well, nothing for it...
The Mooseland (TM) construction crew has finished painting Oban Hills ... Now to wait for the paint to dry...
Well, Moose is bummed... Moose started cleaning up and painting all the wee bits of a really nice Period Miniatures station depot kit. Moose need to take measurements for the footprint of a scratch built foundation and platforms for the station, when Moose realize that the area between the two station tracks is too narrow for this station depot kit. Moose has two other station kits that are also too wide for the available space. Arrrg! Off to figure out how to scratch and bash a narrower station build... EDIT: On closer examination of the kit's wood bits, Moose belatedly realizes that the kit manufacturer printed the trim locations incorrectly on one of the wood sheets, resulting in the "board" scribe marks on the wrong side of the sheet ... Moose i'll have to scratch build the correct side while altering the overall width of the building... Arrrg!
I was thinking that it might be easier to move the distance between the 2 tracks further apart then rebuilding a building, But thats just me...
Having made some startling discoveries about the Oban Station (Period Miniatures station depot kit) that make it not fit for use, Moose commissioned Moose Model Works (TM) to develop a replacement. And now, the Mooseland (TM) construction crew has its hooves full with the start of work on Oban Station ... ... ... Again. Yeah! Here's most of the kit's parts: Note: Not appearing in this picture are various supporty bits, roof panels, and the all elusive windows and doors...
Some of those doors don't look wide enough to fit a moose. Can't wait to see the finished product and hear more of the creation of MMW (tm).
The Mooseland (TM) construction crew has finished the exterior construction of Oban Station. Yea! Now to order the windows and barely-fits-a-pair-of-moose-antlers-if-moosehead-cocked-at-an-angle doors...
