I f you mean the one behind. It's a kit from walthers and it's dark brown. The one in front is all handmade from balsa and basswood. The camera angle makes the color look green. I blame the lighting .. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Oh. That is a tomix double track bridge. They still make them. It's pretty impressive. 22 inches long and it does come in different colors. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Sorry, been away for a few days... Thanks for all the tips, and close-up pics! Already got my wife saving dryer sheets, but it sure would have been better when the kids were still around; just she and I don't generate near as much laundry now. And my wife uses them several times each, so it may take a while. But I wonder if coffee filters would work new? Of course they'd have to be wetted, wrinkled up, and let dry, but at least they wouldn't smell like new dryer sheets. And I bet the softening agent in new dryer sheets might not react well with water, paint, etc. And while I've never tried broken acoustic ceiling tiles before, I'd heard of that.
Your welcome.. Actually since the sheets get dipped in Plaster their is no adverse affects. I never tried a coffee filter. But it might be similar to what a napkin did for me. And it didn't go so well. Let us know how things work out. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
I would think coffee filters might work pretty good. They dont 'disintegrate' like paper towel or napkins do when they get 'wet'. Coffee filters are made to hold up really well. I have never had a coffee filter fall apart. I even use coffee filters to lay across rails to clean locomotive wheels. Maybe someone with a spare piece of plywood and some time could try hills/mountains out of them. Just throwing that out there. *btw...you can buy a box of 200 of the cheaper filters at a dollar store for...ah....ummmmm...you know....a dollar !
Using coffee filters could make your layout look like it's covered in doilies if you were not careful! But good idea on the dryer sheets.
LOL.... Whatever you use in going to be covered in a decent thickness of plaster...so I dont quite get the "covered in doilies" references....LMAO !!
And sometimes I just gotta play with trains. Actually. I was checking my track work today. Plus. That E6 will not stay running at all. It definitely needs a keep alive in it. What a failure on BLIs part. Better yet. A Loksound. I do have some track issues one that has bothered me for years. And another that is recent addition for my station. Since my siding was not long enough. Any way. With grandkids coming soon. It's gotta get running! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Yep. But guess what. After only 10 minutes of run time. The decoder in the E6 is fried. Not.... a.... happy..... camper..... Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Yeah, that's the ticket; "Track inspection!" That sounds much more serious, and not at all playful/wasteful of one's valuable time... And, looky there; two trains in just the right spot for a scenic picture for the new media campaign! That probably took excruciating planning and dogged rehearsal to pull off correctly. All that work... now you need a break! To relax, and just play with your trains! Sounds like you also need to "authorize disbursal of funds for upgrading/replacing substandard, inefficient and/or malfunctioning equipment, to improve operations."
Some woes cured. Looking for memory or a keep alive and a wring diagram now. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
