These Eaos-w look great. Did you use Märklin spare part trucks? Verstuurd vanaf mijn ANE-LX1 met Tapatalk
Yes. Marklin trucks are used. They are not easy to get. A friend of mine designed more proper trucks - this is type XTa1. The problem is that they running characteristic is not good enough - there is too much friction and 3-4 cars is a maximum for a locomotive - not acceptable. I still have some other cars to be done and definitely need more Marklin trucks... In a meantime I returned to EN57 commuter train project. I got middle car printed: primed: and painted:
I’ve been looking at those pictures and that photo etched one you said came from Italy really stands out! Superb details.
Thank you Robert, I am happy to increase my fleet. I got sheet of decals so it is time for modelling cars ! Next one is a flat car from 50ties: I made some more longer flat cars so I can start to form my military train (70ties - 80ties period). This is equipment used by Polish Marine Division (Blue Berets). Officially this was "Marine Defense Army" but they were trained for sea landing in Denmark. At this moment I have flat cars for less heavy equipment. @JMC Scale Models should recognize some of the stuff. Still a lot to be done...
Next project is more complicated. I decided to have another version of Abteilwagen. Marklin do not produce this one: I had a roof from 4-axle car which was partally used for another project (boogies). The top of the roof of "Abteilwagen" was removed and the original roof have been shortened:
I showed some flat cars with military equipment. In military train there must be a place for toops as well. There is a "Banana car" in Marklin range that can be used forr this purpose.I decided to do some more modifications for this project. I cut the doors and open vents: The doors were glued in "open position" Together with Banana car... Inspirational photo:
