I even had to have shop forces install a sound decoder in one of the CM&B loco's! One tough outfit to bargain with....
Gee... I guess the roads I am running are a bit similar. CM&B & CMStP&P.. But a Union Pacific adopted stepchild on my layout? That comes with a steep price... Almost had someone in yard paint the roof red. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
A lot of extra rent went into paying the CM&B for the use of their tracks to get that loco home!! Heck, the NPBH CEO even had to labor in the shops!!!
It's been quite awhile since I have done anything to the CMB. I have managed to get supplies I need here and there. Over the weekend I went to Omaha to pick up my latest purchase from EBay. I think I kinda got lucky here. The sound decoder was already installed. It's as Tsunami 750. The install was done by Mickey at the House of Choo choos in Omaha so I sm not even concerned about the workmanship. Here is a video of her going over some very rough track that begs for some work..... Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
It was a summer and fall that was crazy busy with work and family things. During that time I had time time to fuss, think, study, plan, and fuss some more. I like my layout but Fuji was correct about storage track. In Balderdash, I found a nice corner for that. I moved the roundhouse and service facilities. Lengthened the main Yard and station siding. Added a storage track off of said station siding. Then it was over to Maudlin. Here I removed the spur for the elevator and created a second siding to service both the elevator and meat packing plant. Still am not sure if I am done in Maudlin yet. We shall see. I would like more storage in Maudlin but I think space is running short.. This was my Christmas project.. Now that it's all set I will need to crawl under everything and wire it all up.... Over the last week I got a lot accomplished. I did manage to reorganize how balderdash will be set up. This video starts there and ends at in Maudlin. At the start to my 3% grade. I am liking this alot mire. I have more operation available but not to much. Just the right amount. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
This next video is of Idgits Creek crossover. It is a shinohara code 80. This is the original location but reconstructed so I could install ground throws. Finally! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
And that's not even the turntable I will use.... I got a second one that does not have a warped bridge. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Thank you. It my fifth one in as many years. I have learned a lot in that time. Such as, Murphy never leaves...... And always keep things within reach . And keep the track smooth as possible. Thanks for the compliment. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Is it necessary to flip all four at Idgits for electrical reasons or something else? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
