I can't think of anything really new or innovative to do for your website, as people in all the scales have already done almost anything I can think of.

I measured some flanges on various Z Scale locomotives, and the Marklin locos all have .027" flanges, but MTL and AZL locos would run on .025" rail, and probably look real nice in macro shots!

It's really not too late to start over with your .025" rail, and I really think it is a great choice to do something really different. I know you already did it in N Scale, but Z Scale has not seen that yet.

Your river is real nice, and I like the size of it, where I have been just doing these little creeks and calling them rivers, I think I need to re-thing that now and use some module wide rivers for realism.

Either way, I'm sure whatever you do will be very interesting! ;)

David, After reading Robert's posting, I don't tink I recall seeing any discussions of flange depth on the web. That might be something to consider, especially if you are going to try code 25 track.

Was just running my Akia trains from Japan today (the "ZJ" stuff) and even their flanges are shallower than Marklin's. I'll have to break out the calipers and measure them this weekend. They look close to AZL's size.

the conversion idea is good, dynamic better. I have numerous pages from out there in addition to the commercial stuff (Scale card, etc.). Thing is, most all require conversion to a usable length, etc. Say one wants scale MPH. Do you want to measure it as inch-per-second or seconds-per-foot (or maybe over a standard 4' module so you don't have to guess where a foot is).

Maybe a Scenery master link, then sub links like Water and Trees. Whether vendor direct page links, websites or articles, this could be helpful.
