A Pontiac, a Rambler, a Plymouth, a Datsun, an Olds...

    Where did they all go?

At one time, when kids were asked to draw a locomotive with a train, it was an FT with the four portholes... That engine left its mark.

Reminded me of CN's Turbo Trains, or the Aerotrain.

Sitting in the front row on the lower level must be a great experience.

Nah. Those are wall-eyed like Jack Elam. That thing was cross-eyed like Lucy Lu.

It looks like it has turn signals. What did they need turn signals for?

You didn't have any uncles who were still calling AMC Hornets Ramblers well into the seventies?

I had one still calling them Nashes. "Hell, they're still made in Kenosha ain't they? You rather I call 'em Kelvinators? I do that too, at least the white ones..."

Actually I was referencing the 'where did they go'. Rambler= recycled into...

Where I grew up, there were very, very few Ramblers, Studebakers, etc. Nobody bought the AMC stuff, except one person I knew, post-high school, bought an AMX. It was pretty much all GM, Ford, Dodge/Plymouth.

Those cars look like 2-bay Airslide cars. Are they rare? I don't see many photos of them, to be sure.
