After Christmas Day, we can all chime in what we actually got, versus the above title.
What I wanted: Kato F's in BN, more Intermountain 4650 ACF's in GN or BN, and an American Z Lines SD45 in BN!
What I think I'll get: The ACF's, and maybe an engine, type/road undetermined as of yet.

Well, what I'd wish for, might be the two Milw and two NP Atlas PS-2 hoppers, an Atlas undec non-db SD9, the six Red Caboose NP 4740 hoppers, and maybe about four of the coming Atlas Milw SD7's.

What I'll get? Probably a lump of coal...... [IMG]

I really want a new vehicle capable of packing a bunch of NTRAK modules in and be able to make it to Virginia and back next August. I don't know if the old 87 Volvo wagon will make it [IMG]
However I will probably get some railroad books and calendars. They are cool too. [IMG]

    You know--

I've got enough train stuff (except for decoders).

I've got enough black suits, white shirts, and conservative ties.

I've already gotten some hobos and a Walthers gas station (neat), and a boxcar that was probably designed in 1990, while I model 1957 or so.

I'll get some more N scale people tomorrow, though the kids know not to buy me cars.

I've asked for some neat, non-dress shirts, not flannel. I dress myself for work; my wife likes to dress me for other occasions.

I think I'll get what I wanted. If not, well, I'll bless the spirit of giving, our overall good fortune as individuals and as a nation, and the good intentions of all.

In short, whatever I get is a blessing.

    Pete

Ya gotta be kidding me!! Pete, there's no such thing as 'enough' train stuff! :D [IMG]

But I wholeheartedly agree with your closing sentiment. [IMG]

Isn't there a proven, that no layout is ever finished? If so, can we also state that said layout cannot ever be fully equipped? :D :D

I'll also agree with your closing sentiment!

Hey, a lump of coal ain't bad- you can always pulverize it with a hammer and make coal loads out of it [IMG]

And the other bad gift, a bundle of switches? Boom- instant pulpwood or log loads!

See Christmas can be good for us model railroaders! [IMG] :D [IMG]

I would love a stack of Peco C55 flex track and an assortment of turnouts. It's a simple enough thing for even a non-modeler to get right. To bad I don't have anyone to get it for me [IMG] Oh well, I can always hope that Sata Claus will come through.
    Merry Christmas -

My RR goodies are coming in January, when I get to go to the train show down the road in Plano, TX. Otherwise, as long as my family's here with me, in good health, and my mother is all right, I don't need much else. That I can't buy anywhere, nor would I want to.

I hope to get some money for the LHS.The old stand by was gift certificates for the LHS,but it closed, and I wouldn't expect anyone to know where my new favourite train store is.(Even the wife has only been there once.)
    SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
If not,I know some of the non-train stuff I'm getting, and it is pretty sweet too.

We open our gifts on Christmas Eve and Santa knew where to pick up some Schneider trailers for my spine cars. Between him and his elves they figured out that switching layouts require many... switches! [IMG]

Fun as those things are, though, they pale compared to the many blessings that came my way this past year!

Merry Christmas to all and may 2004 be your best year ever!

This sets up the classic "train stuff vs. socks and underwear" clash.

I don't know what my girlfriend got me. She knows where I go to buy train stuff. Maybe she got me a book or two. [IMG]
My mom will get me the usual stuff...clothes! [IMG]
Whatever I get, I'll have the ones I love around me!

Did not get any train stuff for Christmas. But then, I spend enough on the train through out the year to expect even more on Christmas day. If the tunnel motors ever get here, that'll be my Christmas present to myself.

Well, Just like WPZephyrFan... I pretty much did my own Xmas shopping several month ago when I ordered Kato F3's and other assorted motive power.

My family is not very model railroading knowledgeable so, I cant expect them to even get the scale correct  , let alone the era and types of trains I prefer. I'm simply better off getting a gift certificate from them or doing my own shopping in their name.

Well... I didn't get anything "train" related from the family (again) But.... I am happy to report that I got a Fuji FinePix A210 digital camera, so, at least they knew that I wanted to photograph my stuff. [IMG]

I got myself an NP 1600 Series caboose, but I'm still building it. I bought an ABA F3 set to paint in Lowey Green.

And I got a bottle of Irish Cream which I'm working on right now.

Empty Nester here, this is my first Christmas alone. Even my wife went to visit her friends, but she'll be home today. I hope I can get my caboose built before she gets home. [IMG]
