Super photographs everyone. Especially like your skyboards Mike, makes a world of difference to a layout. And Jeremiah, that is a beautiful picture of the CZ, even though it is Amtrak
Thanks Alan, Tom, The hike was worth it.... Alaska GP49 and I shot from the same position, and we waved to the passengers in the sightseer car. You shoulda seen the looks on peoples' faces! One looked at me like I was from outer space!!
Hemi, LOL - you should bring one of them ultra-lightweight aluminum blankets (or two) with you and put it on while you're taking pics... that would make for quite some stories spacemen for sure!
I bought the hotel in 1991 at the NMRA nationals in Denver. My wife made me buy it. It took me about 2 yaers to put togheter. There are about 18 different colors on the model. I just found the link to the co that made it. And the photo behind the hotel I got of the internet. Had to do a rework on it but it came out fine. http://www.railroadavenue.com/ Mike
Originally posted on the N Scale Forum, and late to the party: This was one of the first "scenicked" shots I took on the current layout, in about Dec 2003. The ship wasn't finished; the backdrop was photoshopped in. I should probably try a re-take, as there'd be a dramatic difference. The yard, of course, is now clogged. The rails are darkened. There's all sorts of ships and buildings. The bridge across the yard, btw, is about halfway down its length. Anyone who doesn't know my layout care to guess how long the yard is?
6' is my guess... x 160...is, uh, ... carry the 2... um.... reverse the fraction... MKT, that website has truly realistic photos.... if you digitally aged them, I swear you couldnt tell if it was real or a model!!! [ June 13, 2005, 02:59 PM: Message edited by: nscale_lover ]
