In the interest of equal time.......a blast from the past as a Frisco freight heads east out of the Monett yard on the Spring River Sub. Next stop- Springfield. Cantcha just hear those FDL-16s chanting now.......
I do not have pretty pictures. Only this sky view of my layout that I stitched together rather quickly.
Nice EL cabooses. Lots of stripes make those paint jobs a challenge. I don't always stay in the correct time period. Here is a modern day logo on an older boxcar (with a roofwalk). Here is an older logo on a more modern boxcar. It brings some of those neat early predecessor railroads into my era.
Flash: They all look good. I do the same thing with some newer 50' boxcars. Stay cool and run steam......
Years ago I wanted some N scale FT units real bad. I had some brass ones but did not want to spend more money for more of those. So I made RTV molds of the shells, cast my own out of resin and make my own frames using Kato trucks. I think I had this A-B-B set finished a few months when both IM and MT announced they were going to make them.
how observant, I have about five right feet and three left. Walking is difficult. </font>[/QUOTE]But Very Impressive! when you do walk.
A year later and it still doesn't have propper decals on it. Oh well, Happy St. Patricks day everyone!!!
Here's a few. PC & NYC GP40's. EL SD45's pressed into service sans handrails. What I did with a Tyco flat car, new trucks, metal wheels & KD's.
Not much going on the BearCatRR this week...some more details..As we roll into Spring, the icing plant is sending out more ice to the fishing fleet...time for salmon...
