Ken, Me thinks you should send George, one of those special run train cars as a token of TrainBoard's appreciation for hanging in here so long. LOL
Sorry, I forgot about the DCC. Get yourself a DPDT electrical toggle switch and put DCC on one side and Analog DC on the other. You'd be back up and operating anything you want. Do isolate your DCC equipment so the analog DC doesn't screw up the decoders memory banks. I did send you more domes, didn't I?
Not a lot happening recently. Just been running Trains I did get my last UP5 wired in at the end of the aisle... My scroll saw crapped out on me many months ago when I was was installing them so never got that last one in till now...LOL Now I dont have to stretch from the middle plug in to the end....sure makes it easier ! They are about 8 feet apart. The yellow "X"'s show where the UP5's are located
George, I see that the curves near town are down, but I don't see the interchange track & switch you had been fretting about for so long....???
Hank.... Its in there...waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy up at the top right...lol.. I used the diverging route for the main. It works best...I like it...she likes it...its all good
I've had some friends ask for a video tour of the layout. It's been so long since I've done any videos...I'm not sure how to embed it...lol But for those of you who want a video tour of T.H.E.R.R. Reborn...here is a link...enjoy !
George- That embedding instruction is in the Support Forum, under Tutorials: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine...post-a-YouTube-(or-other)-video-on-TrainBoard
George, that's a nice run, puts what you've been doing over the past year or so in perspective...thanks. I also saw the interchange, I like how you merged it in...neat.
Nicely done George. I like what you have done with the layout. Good to see your equipment standing on rail and running. I thought for a second I was looking at some of my old stuff. Grin! Lucky Dog.
Thnxs Guys.... Hank....the interchange took a few rounds of trying different things...but the first idea turned out to be the one that works best Rick...I am sure if ya run that video in slow motion....you will see a LOT of your old stuff in there ;-) David...The turntable is working great !!!!! thnxs Also...did ya notice the PRR Trainmaster off the turntable too
Thnxs Rick.... I'ld say running flawless and/or bulletproof...but...we really dont say that about Unitrack ;-) LMAO
Pretty much have THE Wifes Passenger Station done. I had a larger station there but it didnt leave much room for a parking lot out front. The parking lot is going to have to be big enough for people to park for the Passenger Station....the Museum...and the Park !! So I bashed a 2 story/2 room wide building to put in there. It has a small check in terminal in the middle of the bottom floor for her excursion train and a warehouse on the left for all that fancy food and drinks them passenger want. All the passenger train cars fit within the area of the covered walkway. We wouldnt want our passengers gettin wet when it rains !! The whole upper floor is the T.H.E.R.R. Corporate Headquarters. Also have T.H.E.R.R Train Museum about where she wants it to the left of the passenger station. Seems like a fitting place for a static display of a brand new Bachmann 4-8-4 !! The bell tower on the right side will be a memorial piece set in the middle of the park thats going in there. Now all I have to do is get the rest of her buildings done...parking lots put in...the park done...and of course Main Street running through town
George, I really like what the wife and you have done. The Passenger train looks good. Glad this has all worked out for the two of you.
Thnxs Rick.... She loves the passenger train for sure !! Me...once I got trains running....putting off everything else was easy....LOL. I am S L O W L Y doing stuff here and there...but rather watch the trains run
really fine work, George...enjoyed the video and the view of T.H.E.R.R., looking good! thanks for sharing...will be looking for updates as progress is made. sincerely, Gary L Lake Dillensnyder
