Nice shots. I always like seeing local power, since it's always the old warhorses on their final legs. I'd like to get a few shots of the B40-8 and C40-8s before they're gone. The NS C40-8s around here are getting few and far between, and since I got back into railfanning a couple of years ago I haven't seen any NS B40-8s. Looks like I need to drive east about 45 miles and watch CSX a few times to see if I can snag a few.
Northbound through Kennesaw GA (From the parking lot of Kennesaw Trains & Hobbies) The building in the background houses the civil war locomotive "The General".
CSX Colours Great photos. The tri colour blue grey and yellow is very attractive. Can't say much about the "dipped" dark blue though. Looks too much like the NS The Portland & Western has to have another one of the most "Snappy" paint schemes
Wow, I feel like I'm getting old. I consider standard-cab Dash-8s some of the best-looking modern engines - note "modern".
Dash 8's being scarce??? That seems to be all one sees around here. They'll be around for a long time because they aren't that old. Dash 7's on the other hand are becoming few and far between.
