Nice catch on the old SD40..only just 5 or 6 of them left, they are detined to be "retired as they fail"...basically, if they break down on the road, CSX will retire them pretty much immediately. I would look for 2008 to be their last year on CSX.
That roof that looks yellow actually started out white. How it changed, I don't know. The white roofs are pretty common.
