Volker Stevin is a company which builds tracks and catenary. Of course, they have their own engines. This one used to be from ShortLines, a small cargo firm that has been taken over by a competitor. Picture taken at Utrecht Centraal Station, 29 Dec 2004.
Station in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands. This used to be a point where travellers left/entered the trains and entered/left the boats to/from Friesland, a northern province. Today, it is the end of a commuter line. Each day, many people commute from this station to their work in Amsterdam. Picture taken on the 6th of July 2005.
Former railroad bridge at the swamps 'de Moerputten' in the Dutch province Noord-Brabant. This used to be a line between the city Den Bosch and the village Lage Zwaluwe (connection with the line from Rotterdam to Belgium). Today, it is possible to walk on most parts of the former roadbed. I have made a trip with two friends, walking from Den Bosch to Waalwijk, a town half way down the line. Picture taken the 2nd of april 2005.
