Maybe next week, I can start mine.. I am so jonsein' to get started!!! Grey One, yours will be first!
Wow Joe after seeing your railimages,I can see you'll do Grant's kit justice. Some beautiful modeling there.
Joe, Looking good. Maybe I'm a bit twisted but I always like models when they are at that stage. You know..... first coat of paint, getting close to completion. Thats when when you really start to notice the work you've done. Keep at it my friend.
Postal is funny the world over.... I've had stuff mailed the same day hit OZ or NZ quicker than a US address. I sent some used decoders south a few years ago airmail and they took a month to show up. I guess the plane they used was the wind up rubber band type...... oh5qn:
You got that right.. I could drive to your house to pick up a kit, and stay in Calgary all week, and still make it home before the package would have arrived. And it's only 375 miles!
I don't think UP or SP had any of these (correct me if I'm wrong) but if they did I wouldn't mind having a couple of these myself. Excellent work on producing this Grant.
Hmmmm, was going to do one in UTAH RY paint, may have to do the second (when it arrives ) in SP bloody nose, great idea Phil!
Nope, SP didn't have any F45s. Too bad, one of mine would look great in scarlet and grey. I might have to do it in Kodachrome instead.
I just got mine in the mail today, and I have to agree with everyone else that has posted....This is a beautiful kit!! The shell is well done, and the etched metal parts and details are some of the best I have seen in any scale!! Combined with a Kato drive, this is going to be an outstanding model. Two thumbs up Grant....WAY UP!!!!!
Of course, some of the F45's did emerge from the remanufacturing with the square side door window, and this is a really great looking paint job. Decisions, decisions!

However IMHO Blue and Yellow is still the best http://www.railimages.com/gallery/joecox/abs A couple of things yet to do then add laser cut windows.
