Getting WARM boys but not the weirdest around. Wayne that is a cute loco. Benny don't all railroad workers need one on the job? KEEP TRYING GUYS
What, a portable Superintendent's office???? WHat's so important about THAT????? Just kidding Benny............personally I think the shot's pretty darn funny- altihough I'd hate to be working that machine downwind from the "facilities"
Alright, you want straight out weird, here you go...I am using the bottom of my barrel here! This is a picture off of the Aw Nuts Webpage, now these freelancers know how to mess with a rivet counter's head!!! And here is a picture from their gallery on that page. Unless someone can find a prototype that is weirder, I think this takes half the icing off the cake!!!
Well, the coal yard is still open, but not a commercial picture of the Woodland scenics yard or the lifelike yard, or any of those widely available. But if you cannot find that, I have been having trouble finding a derrick car...not a pile driver, a derrick car, a rail car with a derrick on it, used for drilling or putting in posts...I think. When I get time, I would love to build one...now what do they Look like?
Benny, do you mean the "big hook" crane cars that used to pick up wrecked engines? I have a few of those, poor quality.
By derrick I was meaning the derricks similar to early oil drilling operations. I have seen picturesof such a car a long time ago, I don't know what they are used for, they are probably pile drivers, although they could be well drilling cars (just have to locate rails, and the whole rig is in place)
Benny, check the Oil Creek & Titusville RR site in Pennsylvania. There should be photos and a link to the oil museum there. I do believe that was the first place oil was drilled for in the US.
