Dick Billings at Fine N Scale Products makes a nice trash container of the 20' rounded bottom style. If it is the Rabanco 48 footers you are looking for, that's a taller order, as Rabanco is the only one who uses it. It is a perfect target for a low volume medium like resin, as the tooling cost is low and easier to recover.

    Sorry, Lou. :)

    Amen to THAT!

I wasn't aware that deLuxe had announced the 53' exterior post container, but I am sure glad that you are doing it. I figured it would only be a matter of time before you did announce it. No doubt, it'll be a huge success.

The 40' HiCube corrugated container is a welcome surprise. At last, a modern 40'er... I think I have gone to heaven. I thought I would have to wait a long time to see one of these babies released in N. Genstar had better be close to the first release ... oh, oh and K-Line!!!! :D :D

Excellent news George and thanks for the update!

You hinted before Chantilly that deLuxe had some announcements for the convention - did anything else get announced? (not that 2 new container styles aren't enough!)

    Thanks!

    George,

First off, your plans sound fantastic - I agree resin is the right way to go for trash containers.

The kind I'd be interested in seeing are the tall 20 foot ones and the "bulkbox" sludge containers. I need to find some photos to explain what I'm talking about!

BTW, Alan Curtis, how are those 2 unit trash spine cars going and do you still plan to do trash containers?

    James-

New stuff was everywhere, including the series and paintscheming variety. But the two container new tools and having the spine car samples were pretty cool. Also featured production samples of the American Highways Series Crete, Digby/Navaho, and Dart Advantage tractor trailers. 2 53' and 1 48' with the Herpa tractor.

We had production samples of the first Liberty Squadron car (Belle Wringer), the TransAmerica Billboard 40' reefer, the BN America 48, and the modern 40' boxcar in IC Orange and BN Green. Oh, and the SLA model of the MAxi 3 showing our geometry.

Lou- Drop Dick Billings a line and see what's up with his trash containers, as he lives about 15 miles from one of the Rabanco loading facilities. It would be great if he and Alan did two different prototypes.

    George
