STILL!!!!!!! When I was on Train#5/#6 about one year ago, UP has doing all sorts of work in this area that had the train running behind schedule too... :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused:
A couple of weekends ago I tried to catch a shot of the east bound CZ with a former SP engine leading it through Clifton, CO. This was the only shot that I was able to catch. Ben
I don't have much in the way of stills, but how about some videos? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwTed8w0x3w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOKSl1Mqvds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzjH_rQQJTo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD5M-chUnFI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3y0DGbDyfB4 The pedestrian bridge from which Ben shot his stills can be seen in the background of many of them. I'm kind of new here so I'll ask a question of etiquette. Is it preferred to post links or embed?
Cool videos Ralph! I liked the crew change one (4th link). At 1:20, you hear the air pop and it blows some snow up. As with the embedding or links, either is fine. But youtube changed their format for embedding and Trainboard hasn't been updated, so you still get a link to click on even when embedding. And I think embedding only lets you post 4 videos (just like pics) where links can go more. Mike
South Bound Texas Eagle in Fort Worth. Face off in Fort Worth. The Heartland Flyer on the left faces the northbound Texas Eagle. The Flyer was extra long that day bringing fans down from Norman, Oklahoma for the OU/Texas game. Patrick Henry's cars on the end of the west bound Missouri River Runner peaking out from behind another train.
S/B Coast Starlight and N/B Amtrak Cascades crossing the Columbia River just south of the Vancouver, WA station. Trailing diesel on the Starlight is a B32-8W, the lead unit on the Cascades is an F40PH converted to a "cabbage" unit.
Late January 2006, North Station, Boston, MA. Trailing "cabbage" unit of a northbound Downeaster awaiting departure to Portland, ME and several stops in between.
Hope you don't mind me just jumping in. Here is a Amtrak-California Capital Corridor at Oakland-Jack London Square
Almost 730 at night, caught the crew change at Helper, Utah. 10 minutes later, they left town one last shot for the night as they passed Castle Gate Mike
A few shots taken in La Junta, Colorado of the Southwest Chief. First two are east bound and second two are west bound.
Pocket Streamliner The only way to travel, one locomotive and two private cars. Really, just using a Genesis as a switcher to turn the cars on a wye to orient them properly for the Missouri River Runner leaving St. Louis that afternoon.
I would say that on the trip that the picture was taken there was no lounge car due to there not being one avaible out of Chicago on the trip west.
