Last posting here. Why you ask. Can't get the replacement shells I need for several engines I have plus a buddy back in The Windy City is reading me for dark matter. Would love to stay in n scale but can't get the parts I need to rebuild the power roster from modern day to back in the 1970's. Going to still be around just over on the dark side all.
Why don't you just buy some new Kato F7s and sell your existing mechanisms? You mentioned you are modeling the fall of 1979; that is too late for F7s and FP7s for the most part.
Because I'm on a disability income and new units are out of the budget once they exceeded $100 plus per engine. Hence why I needed the shells. So no need to keep stuff I can't get the parts for.
Couple of Kato f7 dual headlight and an intermountain dual headlight with dynamics brakes FP7 shell(s) already trading N scale stuff for Ho though. So will probably list the chassis as no shells and sell them that way.
Please send me a PM and I can point you to some really cheap new Kato F7s and maybe an Intermountain FP7.
Thanks but the switch to ho is on as I have traded a lot of what I had on hand off for Ho items plus why buy new units when I have new chassis that just needed shells. Thanks but done with N scale period.
