You know it's not unlikely that we would do two different engines in the same road name the same month. I actually discussed this at a planning meeting a few weeks ago and it was well received. I showed a photo of an SP Gp9 with an F7B lashed up as a helper out of Weed California and suggested theme releases were a good idea. I am doing that exact combo for my CZM layout here in good ol' Oregon.

    John,

Next time you are working with the boards and need to take the springs off, use the coupler spring trick and thread a needle and thread through it. That way it won't go flying.

While at the WGH show today in Portland, I saw a test painted Z GP9 shell in NP and it looked very good, so you NP modelers will enjoy this release when it comes out. Very tempting for me as i am considering building a small Z layout. Unfortunately all the MTL reps were missing from the booth when I was there so I couldn't ask any questions about it.

I would have really liked to go to the show Peter. Did the NP GP9 resemble this? ;)

I can't etch brass, I can't 3D model for RP, I can't design my own DCC decoders, I can't injection mold plastic, I can't CNC parts and loco mechanisms, I can't do good resin castings, and I can't do lost wax or investment casting.

These are all the skills I would like to learn, yet others on this Z forum, like Tim, Kim, Chris, Joe D., and other here can do. That's what makes the Trainboard Z Scale forum so nice, there are so many talents here, with so many different skills.

Everyone here has something to contribute, wether they know it or not. That's why I do so many trades, because everyone has a skill that they can use to trade with.

If you were to take a very good look over my Timesaver Z-Bend Track module, you will see the skills of almost 20 guys here on Trainboard that have all contributed what they can to the Z community, and it's all assembled to make a really convincing module, loaded with otherwise unavailable details.

    -Robert ;)

I'll second that about this forum, there is some really neat ideas being shared here. I have improved my modeling 100% in the last year by using ideas listed here. I have to say that timesaver is a really neat model, perhaps we should start a thread where people show a complete view of their layouts, then perhaps a few favorite closeups. It would be neat to see the different approaches and tech.
