Here a B&O "torpedo tube" GP9 pulls a lone passenger car through the early morning haze. By this time, most of the B&O's passenger trains were being handled by RDCs. But the usual RDC for this run is in the shop for a few days.
Jeff, very nice. those huge curves really set those cars. Can't wait to see what you do for a bridge there.
By the way Bookbear1, the EL didn't exist until 1960. If you are modeling the 1940-50's period, it was still DL&W and Erie. Lackawanna used E units and Erie had both PA's and E-8's. Both roads used passenger equipped F-3's. Frank
Yes, of course.... I meant Lackawanna, not EL (damn keyboard!....always blame the hardware, that's my motto Phoebe Snow and all that!
Ok, here goes with my first attempt to post with images (deep breath) I had an American Flyer layout (very simple freight) as a kid. When I got involved with model railroading again a few years ago, I did so to be able to run passenger trains. I started with a (very truncated) California Zephyr, a train I remembered from my childhood trips back to Illinois. Though now I run more freight than passenger (I just don't have enough room for a really good looking loooooong passenger consist!), there is always a place for a passenger train on my tracks. Here are a couple of pics:
BookBear.. Thats a really nice looking Train.. Anyone else have a Passenger Train on their layout as some of the ones I have seen so far Blow my mind away with their Beauty

European is cool. Any Passenger train Photo's would be nice.. Does the Tilt train actually tilt ?? I have always wanted to know from some one who owns one..
YES, the model train tilt in curves... On the pic you can't really see it . It tilts better when the train is running. The ICE3 is on the left and the ICE-T on the right.
Thought some might like these photographs for ideas of European passenger trains. given the above request. Click each image to enlarge
