Hemi... I like both the Old and the New, they both look great... Would be Interesting to see the New getting Pushed by the Old...One huge Train..
This is a Kato Budd 10-6 that I modified to better resemble an ATSF car. I removed the skirts and changed the truck side frames.
As Promised I have Shot a small (360kb) movie of my Series 500 Bullet Train in action.... Praise to Kato and their Unit track !!!!!!!!!! Stay Tuned as my Ice Train is the next thing to be extended..
As far as I know,KATO Bullet trains are not DCC Ready, Most of the Kato Bullet Trains have there Engine mounted in a carriage half way down the train... If you need to know more about Bullet Trains, I am Sure Don Rickle would be more then able to help.. After all , he nearly has a Whole Fleet of Bullet Trains..
My ICE2 Has Just got its Resturaunt Carriage... Here is the Photo....Soon I will need a Panoramic Camera to shoot it with.... It runs smooth on my New K1 Track.. 6 Carriages is Prototype so I shall keep adding on till I reach that length.
okane I have it. How would one know if it was DCC ready? I don't see anything in the marketing or the very little documentation that comes with it. I am sure their is plenty of room but let me check on that. Magant is correct. The powered car is the 3rd / 4th car in the set of 7. This makes sence since it is intended to run in both directions.
The E4 isnt in production yet. It is rumored to be a Tomix product sometime soon. You can get the E1 from kato or tomix, the E2 from kato or tomix and the E3 from tomix. two great places to see all the available trains are http://japanese-model-supplies.com/ and http://www.h2.dion.ne.jp/~dajf/byunbyun/model.htm The E4 will be very impressive when it is made. it looks quite wild when you see it pull into a station! cheers, jeff
The Santa Fe Big Dome project: http://forum.atlasrr.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14800 And here's several of the final shots from recently completed basic upgrade of my Bachmann Santa Fe Big Dome car. The painted upper deck: Here's the upper deck seats, painted a two-tone gray, Model Master #4245 acrylic Light Gray for the floor and Model Master #4239 acrylic Ocean Gray for the seats: A *before* shot, with the over-size Santa Fe lettering: An *after* shot, with the decaled proper size Santa Fe lettering and two-tone gray seats: And two final 'after' shots: A nice improvement. Nothing contest quality, but a *lot* better than the stock Bachmann car. At least now, the Big Dome blends in well with the rest of the Kato cars, and makes a nice addition to any of my Santa Fe passenger trains. Before, I would have been embarrassed to run the Big Dome in a public setting. Take care, all!
Due to financial Changes ( Buying another car) It is now going to take me a little longer to Aquire more ICE2 Carriages or infact any carriages. So my Next Passenger Train Post will be my Long Term Project my Fantasy Train called the " Intergalatic Express"
I am still in financial Trouble so my Fanatasy Train will have to be done Virtually before I can actuallly get it done.. watch out for a Picture of the Virtual Reality one... soon to be Photo shopped into life..
Just fooling around with my digital camera on April Fools Day after relettering my Railway Classics Skytop. Bill Denton [ April 01, 2005, 09:07 PM: Message edited by: Bill Denton ]
It's a Railway Classics model. The only N scale skytop available AFAIK. The glass was already tinted. I relettered the car from Coffee Creek to Arrow Creek and also changed the other letters with MicroScale decals to get the black outline around the red lettering.
Here's one. A streamlined Hudson pulls a C&S streamliner into a mainline station while a pair of E7's wait to lead the train through the next leg of its journey. That Arrow Creek observation is a fantastic model Bill! [ April 02, 2005, 07:32 AM: Message edited by: Big Snooze ]
