I didn't really want or ask for anything for Christmas so my expectations were low. I try not to ask for something train related as a gift. Except perhaps a gift certificate. If my wife actually bought an n-scale item and found out what the prices are, I'd be headed for divorce court. She has bought O scale for me in the past, but since I don't have a million O scale cars and locos, she assumes some level of self control on my part. N scale is another issue all together. If she got a look at one MT car, then my layout, she might assume bad things. So I leave her to her own devices.

This year it was a car stereo, DVDs, NYCentral shirt, chess set and some other things. All very cool and yet at the same time, not marriage threatening. I do have a gift certificate which I will probably use towards a Spectrum Mountain.

Oh and she did get me a train set candle holder for Hanukkah too. It's a little saccharin, but I will cherish it for its intent.

No train stuff for me either...but the nice digital camera will do!!! Now I can get some better pics of that dorm layout--hopefully nothing was damaged in that earthquake on the 22nd [IMG]

I asked for some N-scale stuff, my dad is really good about finding the right stuff but unfortunately it has always been HO...He said he ventured into the hobby shop twice only to leave in disbelief of N scale prices... [IMG]

No trains for me this year but then again I didn't ask for any either. I did get a very cool personal DVD player so I can now watch my railroad DVD's anytime I want :)

I hope everyone had a very Happy Holiday

I also didnt receive any presents for my hobby but I did receive a 500 meg MP3 player that is the size of a cigarette lighter. I can now listen to my favorite music while taking my daily walk.

I aslor eceived some clothes and a DVD not train related Terminator 3 :D

I didn't make up a wish list so I can't complain. I got hobby tools. My family doesn't know what I need as far as my trains go, but I can always use new tools. I got clamps, a hand drill, a cutting mat, money for a magazine subscription, and a few other things. I liked everything that I got, so no complaints.

  7. I got exactly what I wanted:

The New RF&P IN-Color Book from Morningsun

Two Atlas RF&P GP40's (both available numbers).

A great new Fenwick fishing rod (fro light work, bluegills and crappie and the like).

    Overall, a darn good holiday!
