For sure Jeff, I too did the B unit but thought it was a bit boring to include in picture. As you said, a snap to paint. I totally agree on the 3 schemes you mentioned. They scream SP. Carl T&NO / T&L Lines - El Paso
I thought that was the reason why paint refuses to stick to stainless steel. Oh, smart aleck Santa Fe fans aren't welcome in this thread, are we? I'll shut up now. Sorry.
Nice photo! I really like scale of the building, the locomotive and the car and people. It does not allow the train to dominate the scene!
And these come from Jeff Gowers as he helps me rebuild SP in my CEO view of never having the Primer Bloody nose. Let the Black Widow Live On!
DCC installed, MTL #1015 installed and weathering rdy. Yep, the masking tape overlaped a bit on the left side, sigh. Nevertheless ready to pull a PFE block IMG_1185 by Mikael B, on Flickr - Mikael
You wouldn't be the only Santa Fe fan checking in here. Got to love the black widow livery. I have a few of my own sitting in their jewel boxes waiting to make the pull on my layout.
Everyones looks so clean and new and mine look like they're on their last leg, but then thats the way I like em, looking like tough tired hombres.
Those look really good. One small suggestion, apply some black wash on the grilles, it'll add a bit depth to them! That second SD35 looks great!
