Hello I have a new Zephr Plus and I am having problems with my engines running without the throttle being used as well as when I keep it on standby or in the middle. Engine basically runs without the throttle being advance and I just had a good friend of mine reset the Tsunami decoder. Anybody have this problem?Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is driving me crazy!:rats:Thanks Warren

Have you tried dispatching the engines? I believe dispatching is the only surefire way to stop the last known signals to the engine/decoder

The solution to runaway DCC locomotives in the vast majority of cases is changing the bit programming in CV29. Many systems default to setting CV29 to leave the decoders able to work on either DC or DCC, depending on what they detect coming from the rails. Some decoders are bad for thinking an initial startup surge is actualyl DC current, and away they go. If so,and especially if you locomotive address is a long or extended one above 127, the current value in CV29 is "38". Enter paged mode programming, or broadcast programming, and programme all decoders getting signal to a value of "34" in CV29. That should cure runaways because it renders all your decoders incapable of operating on DC current inadvertently, or in even thinking that's what they are receiving.
