I have an MTL SD-40-2 that has not run from the get go. I removed the shell and discovered one of the tabs that hold the light board was broken. I assume this is the culprit? If you put power to the light board or the motor directly, iy runs fine. On the track, not at all. Is there a way to fix this problem, or is a new frame the only answer? Any insight will be much appreciated. Trey
There should be two tabs. One in the front and one in the rear. Not sure as to why the unbroken one will not let the unit run. I would try to use Silver Epoxy and epoxy the board into pace. Silver epoxy is not cheep at about $36.00 for a small amount.
