I am looking at car manufacturers and wondering which connectors work together. Marklin is easy, it’s that or nothing. But how about AZL or MTL? Father Nature, InterMountain, Full Throttle, etc. What cars can an AZL engine pull? Thanks.
They all fit. The uncoupling works with Kadee only, which means MTL, Father Nature and the old Full Throttle. Greetings Mattias
Mtl has knuckle couplers to fit in the märklin coupler pocket. For switching mtl couplers are great. For trains which stay together (like coal trains passenger trains) one could use any coupler within the train. /Frank Verstuurd vanaf mijn ANE-LX1 met Tapatalk
Thanks. I have Marklin for my euro trains but it is nice to know that all of the North American brands can work together, switching excluded.
And, if you wanted to run your 'American' marklin cars with the MTL, AZL, etc, you can change one of the MTL cars coupler to 'the craw' with their marklin NEM clone coupler. Pop the bolster out of the truck, remove truck, place clone coupler on, truck on, bolster back in. Anthony at Z Scale Monster has a 'Transition' car made this way.
