In order to plan ahead, and to avoid unrealistic expectations of the 50's Bel Air for both you and SEARAILS, so please take the attached poll, or simply send us an email. A. Number you will buy (undecorated) at $5.00 each B. Number you will buy (two-tone painted - Turquoise/White, Yellow/White, Red/White) at $25.00 each? C. Number you will buy (two-tone painted - your specified colors) at $30.00 each? Please inform your Z scale friends of this proposed vehicle, its price, and where it may be seen on Trainboard.
I'd like mine undecorated and will buy 4 of them. I hope you don't think that is a low number, but I will also buy 4 of any other car you produce in this era. I will also add that if it was a must to be able to produce these, I would pay a little bit more as well. .....Oh yeah, the 55' Chevy looks great!
I would take 1 or 2 off this Chevy if I lived in the US. But if you would make more different 50-60's type cars and most important FORD models I would take 1 or 2 off every model. AND if you where to make the 1967 Ford Fairlane in both 2 and 4 door and the stationwagen too I would by them all for more then 5$ a peace that's for sure. All undecorated, because I think I would airbrush them my self anyway. "I have a dream" to make the FORD motor Co. Detroit car building plant from the 60's on a module in the future. And they also had a real nice diesel locomotive with Ford's logo on it to go along with the layout.
I'd buy 2 undec. to start. Maybe more after I see how well I paint them. It is one of those where if it goes well, I'd be willing for more, but if I have a disaster trying to get them painting, I'd probably get no more.
Jim, I'll take 4 undecorated-- Looks like this might be a winner-- Crown Victoria- 57 t-Bird , 63 Corvette My first Fiance had a Belair---mmmmmmmmm best, Fred
'50s Bel Air Wow! Thanks for participating! Please remember this model is a '50s Bel Air - not specifically a '57. We recognize the changes in taillights, headlights, and hood configurations, but this is the first car in this series, and the poll indicated a car with the "flavor" of the '50s. As we promised, if this GMC car is successful (100 units minimum commitment), we'll produce a '30s Ford, and a '40s Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler. Jim PS BTW we're dropping the IM line of cars we introduced in 2004, and will have a "Fire Sale" in December.
The two drawings you put up in the first post are of a 1955 Chevy. Don't forget MakeMYModel does a 1940's Plymouth, so try not to do the same exact model: http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/data/772/MMMZscale.jpg Sounds like your half way to 100 and this is just Trainboard members.
Although positive feedback like this is ALWAYS appreciated - thanks!, please remember we'll post a poll and your Scale mates will choose the model to be mfgrd. Thanks for the continuing support of Z scale!. Jim
I'll go for 5 undecorated (especially if it's a '55). I might go for additional ones later if they are still available after inital release. Thanks, Randy
