I plan on running all steam someday, as good running products become available.
    Roster as of now:

4 Kato Mikes

4 Kato F7's

2 Atlas U25C Locobashes

2 Lifelike SW1200's

1 Atlas GP7

1 Atlas GP9

1 Atlas GP30
    [/list]
The layout is set in the transition era, but I still don't have and diesel servicing facilities yet.

    Just wondering,

Alot of you have been saying you have snoots on oredr-All you all confident they will be to your standards? I have already noticed that with the N Scale paint samples there are some problems

    UNION PAC IFIC, for example

I think that the blue/white LEDs will be better than the stupid yellow ones now used. I love the running quality of the HO ones, so at least in that aspect all Kato has remained good.

    Please comment on this....

    Have a great night,

Because of the "stupid" limited run crud, even if the model is painted wrong, you better order it anyway or YOU'RE OUT!

Well, guys I now have an excuse to add more locos to my stable [IMG].While catching some fresh air at lunch last thursday I heard a set of airhorns.(I work right next to the CSX east west main) So I thought I'd take a look see .What a shock it was a pair of BNSF Dash-9s pulling a long freight east bound.A little while later I caught one unit pooled with a CSX unit on an inbound.I was beginning to wonder if someone had moved GR west. Not many steam buffs eh! I have contemplated going to modern diesel use but my interest is still the steam era with all that entails such as roundhouses, coaling stations and water tanks.
Any other steam power users out there?

Steam-N Scale, doesn't work. Sure, the KATO stuff runs pretty well, I don't hae the same feel when using it as in HO (Not to say HO is the better of the 2 scales before us)

I guess I have had good luck with steam. My Rivarossi Mallet and Berkshire run like a dream. They are every bit as smooth as my Kato diesel. My Pacifics run acceptably but I need to tweak them some. My Atlas 0-8-0 switchers and my Bachman 0-6-0 switcher run well but sometimes stall going through my Peco switches. I set up a circular test/run in track that is 20 inches in diameter. I strip any new loco down and ensure all parts run smoothly. Once lubricated they run well.
I purchased these locos about thirty years ago and don't know if they are still available.

Hey Robin, Where do you find Pacific's? I will dump everything 1960 and newer when I can get some steam that sports operation grade running.

I am looking for Pacifics and Northerns, and I'll try the Bachman 2-8-0 when it comes out.
