    Likely a broken rail, they start showing out in high heat or deep cold weather.

    Heat generates 'sun kinks' as the rail tries to expand from the heat.
    Cold generates pull-a-parts and stretch breaks as the rail shrinks. A flat wheel often acts like 'cold chisel' and create stress points that can fracture the rail as it is being stretched by the stresses of the cold.
