It's been 4 months since I got back here, but a lot happened since then. I know I should keep this thread up to date, and I feel sorry that I didn't.

I made a few more beautiful trees, but most importantly, I have scratch built a barge out of styrene - a welcome break from trees to make rusty vessels again! Here are some photos and also the YouTube links. Take a look and hope this lightens up the Sunday arm chair session. :)

Also, don't forget to subscribe to my channel and leave your comments. Cheers!

The Barge - Episode 1: Scratch Building with Styrene. Episode 2 and 3 coming up soon where I will be showing weathering and detailing.

Nimo, don't feel bad, I haven't worked on my layout for four months. I have been working working on a diorama that is about three quarters of the way done. Will use it for photos and to test new scenery techniques. It's been a long time since I've done water and have never done a waterfall.

Sure Ken. In today's digital world there are so many places to update, I sometimes lose track! But yes, I will be coming back here more frequently now.

    Cheers!

Thanks Joe! Going in and out of model railroading is something that I've struggled with since I started with the hobby. Your layout is pretty big. Can you believe this is the 9th year running of Wrightsville Port and it's still not complete? The layout is friggin' less than 18 sq ft! It was supposed to be done in 2 years!

Yeah well, sticking to the hobby despite what life takes you through is much more important I guess. :)

Waterfall sounds fun! There are many videos online about how to make it, so I'm sure you'll find some good help in YouTube. Looking forward to how it works out.

    Cheers!

Thank you for the tip of videos for waterfalls, I will definitely check out. Have seen one from Marklin Sweden on waterfalls, really like his YouTube videos. You all should watch, you won't be disappointed.

Just wanted to let you know a model railroad is never done, there's always something to do. A new item to install or repair, don't forget weathering.

    Yes, I love his channel.

When it comes to weathering over a long time, my favorite method is the 'natural' weathering. Just leave things open for a month and your rolling stock will automatically be weathered! ;)

Thank you Bob! I am really pleased to hear that! THANK YOU for all the support and encouragement - trust me it matters a lot!

I will surely be looking forward to your waterfall. And don't worry about messing up as long as you can cover it up well!

The final episode is now live on YouTube. Hope some of the detailing techniques would be helpful to the N Scalers here.
