Hey guys, I don't pay much attention to those "deezuls" but there are messages on TrainOrders and another site (not sure which one) about the FRSS running four WP diesels from Portola through the Feather River Canyon and then up to Truckee for their railfan days. If interested, go check it out and put something here on this forum.
Yes the rumor is true. The four diesels will be WP 707, 925c, 2001 and 805. WP 805 will be a dummy since it is not blue carded for legal running on the mainline. WP 707 in its newly restored silver and orange paint has detachable ditch lights to allow it on the point. The 925c will probably be the middle unit. As a back up to all these wonderful WP units, UP has loaned the 6936 for insurance against break downs on the hill. There will be a newly restored WP (428?) caboose and two silver and orange passenger cars along for the ride,plus a few other cars. Some time on Saturday September 1st they will head down the canyon for Roseville and stay over night there. Sunday the train will head for Truckee for the week. More to follow Greg Elems

As of tonight, some of "those other" boards have reported that all of the Western Pacific units and the UP Centennial 6936 are in place at Truckee. Any of you Deezul guys within driving distance ought to hit Truckee this weekend. I know if it was all steamers I'd be on the road right now.
