Hi, I bought a WP dvd: Western Pacific Vintage West, by Charles Smiley. The reason I'm posting it here is there are some great CZ shots on the Grade as well as the WP. Interesting history too of how the Wobbly and Pathetic was built. I recomend to all.
I'll second that. I have found the Charles Smiley videos and DVD's to be among my favorites. Good pace, moves along quickly enough, good sound, action, angles, storyline. From talking with one of the Smiley staff at a GATS show, that's their goal and I think they achieve it nicely. You can't go wrong with any of the Charles Smiley videos. My 2 cents worth. (smile)
I also have WP Vintage West and I have another Charles Smiley video, Western Pacific The Last Decade. I really like them both. This reminds me that I should watch them again!
http://www.trainmovies.com/ I also find many vids on www.a-trains.com/ I just watched the CS video 'Empire of the North' Great footage, and some nice stuff on the CZ, to boot!
"Western Pacific's Feather River Canyon" by Icon Video Productions. They were supposed to come out with a WP series. But I never saw more than this one. Did they do others? Boxcab E50
Boxie, I'll have to look for that video. I need to update my video collection to DVD. I know Chuck has the Smiley videos...I'll have to check to see if he can get me the others...
