http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=127125 Got a deep corner on your layout just begging for a dramatic scene? You might even go for dramatic flair by making it an actual floor to layout "grade level" cutout! Instead of looking up at a high tressel, you'd be looking down at the anxious homeowner!
On the JJJ&E which is entirely graded, The view is for the most part always looking down at the action. I like that aspect... Stay cool and run steam....
Needs a sky light and a Lazy Boy recliner in the right position; but, I would admit I would rather be sleeping someplace else...
Typically, that is a prototypical scene if modeled prototypically on a prototypical layout the viewer would say that isn't a typically prototypical scene. ... umm.. typically speaking of course.
Wonder if you can get special insurance for an event like a covered hopper filled with what ever hitting the road. Ouch.
As cool as it is I don't think I'd want to live there. The "oops" factor is a bit too high {pun}. Can you imagine what must rain down? Not to mention what it would have been like during the steam era. It's easy to tell the Highway (in this case literaly) came last, but who was there first, house or train?? Bet they got the land for a real cheap price!
Certainly an interesting site and a great area to model. I don't think I'd be too keen to live there though
Bob, Then it would look like this on the JJJ&E: And this is the view from the house: And the road: A little tid-bit for football fans, the road bridges are the "Joe Montana Bridges"
