Our local hobby shop owner is using it on his new store layout ... he says it's great! Before this, all he would use was that famous two-part stuff that's been around for a long time ... sadly, I can't remember its name
I have moved this topic to "The Pit" so it gets a wider audience. Is this product similar to the two pack product or is it like painting out of a can?
I am building a waterfall on a friends layout, a three tiered job, where the water comes cascading down over three levels. This means I will have to have water splashing etc. How do I create believable "splashes" and get the cascading water effect?
Yes, that's it. Thanks. This new stuff pours straight from the plastic container. The shop owner said that very secure "dams" are needed to keep it where you want it. Apparently it flows smoothly forming a stream or river until it starts to cure and stiffen. It is transparent after it cures so the river or lake bottoms should be painted before it's poured. I think the shop owner said he creates his rapids and frothy water by stirring it briskly while it is setting, but I can't be sure. I also think he said that a low velocity fan would create waves in a lake. Like a hair dryer with the heat turned off and held at a distance. I'll try to remember to ask him more about it in the next day or so.
