Another Train show come and gone. This one didn't really lead to much in the way of g-scale other then for 3 bucks I picked up a decent Hobby Knife kit. I found out that one of the guys at L&B is also waiting on Aristo FA/FB Grills, the metal ones. Grills are not in yet, no tender yet (Assumption because the guy ordering it wasn't there when I was.). A Total Bust? Well not really. I found an HO Snowplow GN Pilot for my HO Rebuild. I am mentioning the HO Rebuild for 2 reasons here, because A) Wolfcreek & Iron Mountain stemmed from my childhood HO Wolfcreek Terminal Layout (never got to finishing it beyond track on a board) and B) Well I've had my HO F7's forever and it's a secondary project that will test my mettle in practicing how to modify stuff. 20 Bucks for the plow so I thought I'd look elsewhere.

I have my G-Scale project on hold at the moment because I have to save funds for the moment and I cannot progress any further without those grills. The USA Trains parts I need to order is going to run me near 90 bucks. So I'm starting my HO Rebuild at the moment as it won't be that expensive. Did find a Walther's Diesel Detail Kit for 5 bucks at a dealer. It's cheaper to order through walthers. I love how people try to screw the average show goer over. I actually research stuff before I go looking for it, so some of these people can't pull the wool over my eyes.

There were Preiser figures I wanted to buy but the guy running his booth wasn't there, we don't know where he went. 10 bucks for 20 figures. Good deal. I mentioned a while ago about a B&O Coach I was going to buy for 110 from a dealer I bought my station set from. Well the Coach is now reduced to 90 and it sold before I got there. But next month they have a Huge Aristocraft Stock Coming for sale. If there is anything anyone would like me to look for next month and purchase and ship them, let me know around the end of april and we'll work something out.

My Coach project is coming along nicely, and I need to take photographs of the end of the cars in Oxide red now. Waiting a bit on the MOW Gray. My step ladders on my FA/FB are going to be scrapped off and redone. Testors Gloss White isn't a good finish for non primed plastic I've learned. I need to get my Testors Flat White and re-do them. I have cleaned the brass in vinegar so it's all shiny now (vinegar and something else, My friend has a special mix he keeps in gallon jugs for his layout too) and looks brand new. Another Idea I chose to scrap on my units was remounting the windshield wipers down below as per Spokane, Portland and Seattle prototype. After trying to remount and reposition, I decided it was too much hassle for an amatuer like me, and after the screw up with measuring my nose handrails, I decided to scrap the idea.

Finally something not G-Scale related but something I found for 5 bucks. From Burlington Northern's Passenger Trains in the 70s, A Set of Green Note Pads and Green BN Envelopes. 5 Bucks. I couldn't pass on that. Photographs of my new BN Collectors Items will be up in a new gallery on my account. My digital camera battery is charging at the time of this post and I have to wait an hour or so to finish photographing. My goal is when I have my first open house upon the garden layout being completed, is to have a huge supply of BN Envelopes and mail out the open house invitation to my friends. That would blow them away.

I will be doing a blog update as I've been putting it off long enough, expect an update sometime between today and tomorrow.
