Thanks Charlie, I was gone for a week since you helped me and just now getting back on the board. I am retired and resurrecting my HO layout that my boys and I started 30 years ago. I live in Port Washington WI. I'm active in My Church, Christ the King Lutheran here in Port. Also very active in Kiwanis and a little active in the American Legion. I'm an Industrial Tech. graduate of UW Stout class of 73. Retired from Stainless Foundry and Engineering in Milwaukee. I saw a Shay while in Northern California last fall and would like to add narrow gauge logging to my layout. I have questions but will post them in the narrow gauge section.
Welcome aboard! It sounds like you have plenty to occupy your time. As far as questions, either the narrow gauge or the HO forums would be appropriate, pretty much your choice. Hope you'll share some pictures of the layout resurrection as that progresses!
Hi Wiskey, Welcome on board. From experience, being retired and resurrecting an old layout will let you find talents you never knew existed. Have a ball.
I'll add my, welcome to TrainBoard. We are happy to have you aboard. I'm wondering if the Shay you saw in N. Cal was the one located at Railroad Park near Mt. Shasta?
