From the wishfull comment in the MT GP9 post about the Torpedo passenger cars, I've been waiting on SOMETHING other than the everyday Marklin silver modern era cars. So many layouts model steam era and with only steam from Marklin, it would be nice to have some classic green 30-40's Pullmans or such. MT could make a killing.

Yes, they are needed. We need more "Big Guy" companies like Atlas, Kato, Athearn, Con-Cor, Intermountian, Bachmann, LBF, Deluxe and others to jump on the bandwagon.

With only 1 Injection Molded model manufacturer doing North American Z Scale cars, it will be a long time before we see such cars in quanity.

Hey only one manufacturer doing injection molded passenger cars? What about AZL's Amtrak Surfliners, Bombardiers and California Cars? Sure they are the wrong era for the GP7s, but they are plastic!

I can tell you that AZL is planning more passenger cars, but the next series will be brass, not plastic. Sorry guys. The good news is that they are the right era for GP7 and GP9s!

Yes, I forgot about AZL releases. I wish AZL would kick it up a notch though.

Take Atlas for example... Average 6 new locomotive body styles a year, and about as many car styles. Each offering ends up in a dozen roadnames each year too!
