Preface: I am currently building a 36" x 80" N Scale layout, using DCC for the first time. Question: When wiring for DCC, is it acceptable (as in will it work correctly) to solder my corresponding wires to rail joiners and then connect the pieces of flex/sectional track without actually soldering the wires to the track? I know this worked very well for me using DC power, and will make my wiring job go much quicker. It also seems to me that a number of people are simply "solder happy", and won't rest until everything is completely "connected".
I am running a DCC double mainline 3' x 7' with just 2 feeders as of now. I will add like 10 more before scenery. It runs fine as is. I am going to solder to the rails, Not the rail joiners. Loco1999
mightypurdue: You can use that method for wiring your track. I prefer to solder the feeders directly to the rails. Stay cool and run steam....
