The Wig-Wag signal on the Astoria line at Knappa is gone. I don't know when it was removed but there is no trace of it. Nothing has taken the place of the Wig-Wag. No signs crossbucks or anything. There is no rail traffic past Wauna but the track is still in service to Astoria should the need arise.
Sounds like someone might have "collected" a souvenir? There is a web site dedicated to wig wag signals. A Google search should bring it right up. BTW- There were some wig-wags in Lewistown, Montana. The track was out of service. But has been recently removed. Along with those signals. Rumor has it one may now be on display in a park. Boxcab E50

We have four Wig-Wags still in service in Fresno, Ca. And the SJVRR intends to keep them in service. I talked to a tech from Industrial Signal Company who is the contractor for signal maint, and he said there were told to keep the Wig Wags going. And I must say I was glad to hear that. SS
wig wag There wa a double wigwag in Roseburg Indiana. I was the maintainer that took care of it for 12 years. After I left the wigwag disappeared. Talk was an employee took it. So sad.
Here is the web site I had previously mentioned: http://www.trainweb.org/dansrailpix/WIG_WAG_PAGE1c.htm Boxcab E50
Hi...You can send me a private mail if you like. Since I live in Fresno...could you tell me a location or two. I'd like to photograph them. Steve Ervin Stephen.Ervin@comcast.net
The wig-wags in Bertram, Texas have come out of storage for their annual week of fresh air. Flash, I'd suggest you come up. It's Railfair 2007 next weekend.
